We are thrilled to announce that British snowboarding legend Jenny Jones has joined Team dryrobe®!
Jenny is a former professional snowboarder who became the first Briton to win an Olympic medal in a snow event, after taking bronze in slopestyle at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Through her illustrious career on the snow Jenny won gold at the X Games USA in 2009 and 2010, and gold at the X Games Europe in 2010. In August 2013 Jones scored her first podium finish in a round of the FIS Snowboard World Cup, winning silver in slopestyle in the 2013–14 season opener. On 9 February 2014, she finished third behind Jamie Anderson and Enni Rukajärvi to win a bronze medal in the first-ever women’s slopestyle event at the Winter Olympics.
Since retiring from competitive snowboarding, Jenny has gone on to be a regular presenter on BBC Ski Sunday and hosts her own winter sports training camps. As well as carving up the slopes, Jenny is a keen surfer and can often be found riding waves on the North Devon coast, just around the corner from dryrobe® HQ.
“Whether I’m snowboarding in the mountains or surfing at The Wave in Bristol, there is no greater feeling than warmth and comfort and that’s why I’m delighted to be partnering with dryrobe®. Living an active lifestyle, that requires a lot out of me, I find having the versatility of the dryrobe® Advance a real game-changer.”
Everyone at dryrobe® is stoked to welcome Jenny as our first winter sports ambassador. We’ve collaborated with her on a few projects before and can’t wait to work with Jenny more closely on some exciting projects. Watch this space…
