September has been a crazy busy month so far, there's been some epic events going on and this past weekend was no different. We know our weekly round up is a little late - we've only just got back from a mission to Sweden ourselves!
First up we'll start local - just down the road from dryrobe HQ the annual Jesus Surf Classic took place at Croyde beach - with 3-4ft surf and howling winds greeting the competitors. The UK's best surfers battled it out in the tricky conditions, with some amazing surfing going down as the swell built. It was a double win for North Devon surfers - local knowledge clearly paid off! In two stacked finals, dryrobe ambassador Will Bailey took the win in the men's, with Peony Knight claiming the women's crown.
We headed over to Sweden for the weekend for Red Bull's epic swim/climb event - Neptune Steps. An awesome and unique event - swimmers take on 900m of swimming up a canal, with over 30m of climbing up 11 lock gates.
We've been involved with Neptune Steps for a number of years now - the winners' limited edition dryrobes are highly sought after! Check out our full write up of the event here: https://dryrobe.com/blogs/latest-news/dryrobe-partners-with-red-bull-neptune-steps-sweden
Another of our favourite swim events was also held this weekend, this time a little closer to home - the Dart 10k, organised by our friends at the Outdoor Swimming Society.
Hundreds of swimmers took to the waters of the River Dart to enjoy one of the most stunning 10k swims out there. This swim is not a race and focusses on the journey - there's room for everyone on the river.
Over in Belgium, the European Surf Lifesaving championships took place, with Great Britain's top surf lifesavers taking to the pool and the beach to bring back a serious medal haul.
We're still waiting to hear the full results - but from what we've seen on social media, the team seemed to be spending most of their time on the podium! We're incredibly proud to support the team - with less than perfect weather conditions on a few days, we've heard that their dryrobes were put to good use out there!
