Throughout the Games in Beijing this month, Team GB athletes and coaches have been spotted keeping warm on the slopes in navy blue and red lined overcoats. We’re now able to reveal that these were custom branded dryrobe® Advance change robes, made exclusively for Team GB!

Having previously supplied Team GB with dryrobe® Advance at the Summer Games in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, we jumped at the opportunity to kit out Britain’s elite winter sports athletes with dryrobe® gear, helping to keep their core temperature up when they were getting ready to compete up in the mountains. With temperatures dropping down to -24°C these were one of the coldest ever Winter Games, and the dryrobes soon became an essential piece of equipment!

Upon arriving in China, the conditions on the mountains were significantly colder than expected, and Team GB immediately saw the benefit that the dryrobe® Advance brought. The waterproof and windproof outer, combined with a super-warm lining provided an extra layer of protection against the elements.

As with the previous Team GB dryrobe® change robes, the Winter Games dryrobe® Advance featured an exclusive combination of navy grey outer and red inner lining with the Team logo on the front and Great Britain embroidered across the back.

We’re extremely proud to have been able to support Team GB athletes at the very pinnacle of winter sports.
