Riding The Wave - dryrobe® renews partnership with Bristol’s inland surfing destination

2 Minuten Lesezeit

We’re stoked to announce that we've renewed our partnership with The Wave! dryrobe® will continue to be the official changing robe partner of The Wave in Bristol, keeping surf instructors and lifeguards warm and dry with custom dryrobe® Advance change robes. The partnership will also see dryrobe® support their Waves of Growth programme and collaborate on some exciting events.

Opened in 2019, The Wave is the first inland-surfing destination in the UK to use Wavegarden® Cove technology. Since the first waves started pumping, this incredible venue has helped people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities experience the joy of surfing.

This state-of-the-art wavepool can produce waves to suit everyone, from a beginner stepping on a board for the first time, to a pro surfer honing their skills. It has also been designed to ensure there are no problems with overcrowding or hanging around for a wave.

The impact that The Wave has had on Britain’s surf community has already been huge. It’s become the ideal venue for Team England’s junior squad to train and prepare for competitions. The Wave has also twice hosted the dryrobe® English Adaptive Surfing Open and was the perfect location for the event. Not only were there guaranteed waves throughout the competitions but The Wave itself is designed to be 100% accessible.

At the heart of everything The Wave does is a belief in the power of Blue Health - the idea that spending time in or near water is good for you. Through their social impact programmes, The Wave aims to make this accessible to more people and communities who need it.

As part of the extended partnership, dryrobe® will also become a social impact partner at The Wave providing funding for new adaptive surf equipment, helping to get more people in the water as part of the Waves of Growth programme.
