For the third year in a row, we opted out of Black Friday and gave our staff the day off to #OptOutside and do something active.
Everyone managed to get out there and enjoy themselves, despite the temperamental Devon weather throwing a combination of rain, wind and occasional sunshine at them!
Here’s what some of our staff got up to:
Jo headed down to Saunton Sands for a walk on the beach with her dog, catching this epic rainbow.
Simon hit the trails around Ilfracombe, before giving his bike a proper scrub.
Phil also got on his bike and took on the hills around of Braunton.
Karen took to the water and spent the day pilot gig rowing on the Taw-Torridge estuary.
Pete took his dog out for a walk across Braunton Burrows.
Jenna went for a hike around Morte Point, before braving the cold and taking a dip in the sea.
Sharon braved the torrential rain in the morning and took her dogs for a walk. Definitely dryrobe weather!
And Chris went to Okehampton Castle for a walk. Well, he would’ve if it hadn’t been closed for the Winter. Remember, always double the check opening times!
Instead, he went for a hike on Dartmoor around Meldon Reservoir.
If you spent Black Friday opting outside we'd love to see what you got up to. Share your photos with us on our social channels using #OptOutside and #dryrobeterritory.
