Is it that time already? As another year concludes, it’s the perfect excuse to reflect on what went down in 2025.
It’s been an incredible year of achievements for our ambassadors, partners, Warmth Project organisations, and the Dryrobe® community, who have worked through the challenges and reaped the rewards that come with pursuing their dreams and goals.
With so many stories and accomplishments to celebrate, it’s hard to choose, but here are some of the key moments that helped to define our 2025….

Lukas Skinner defends his Boardmasters title
It’s been another truly epic year for Lukas.
Not only did he reach his third consecutive ISA World Junior final and win a back-to-back Boardmaster title in both the Men's and U18 Boys’ Junior division for a second year on the trot, but he achieved all of this after recovering from a tough injury.
And to top it off, he managed to surf the wave of a lifetime, riding down Backdoor at Pipeline in Hawaii. Watch it here.

Bárbara Hernández’s Double English Channel swim
This summer, our ambassador, Bárbara, took on the English Channel twice, swimming from England to France and then back to England, a feat accomplished by only 24 swimmers in history.
She achieved the 107km in 27 hours and 19 minutes, despite no sleep and a broken ankle. Read our interview with Bárbara here.

2025 USA World Surf Champs
In June, we travelled across the pond for an unforgettable week of action-packed surfing for the 2025 USA Surfing National Championships in Oceanside, California.
The event featured the country’s athletes competing in various disciplines, including para Surfing, longboard, shortboard, and SUP Surfing, as well as SUP and Prone Paddle Races.
As proud partners of USA Surfing, we were thrilled to head to Oceanside and provide free rental of Dryrobe kits to the athletes, meet some inspiring people, and witness phenomenal surfing.

Reskinned launch
We proudly partnered with Reskinned this year to provide pre-loved Dryrobe® Advance changing robes as part of a circular movement, helping to reduce clothing waste.
All clothing sold by Reskinned passes through a grading process, where they check quality and condition. Sorting it for repair, resale, or responsible recycling.
Reskinned then utilises a groundbreaking technology called Ozone Cleansing, a sustainable and waterless method of cleaning clothes that targets bacteria and removes all odors. This means the gear you get from Reskinned will feel as good as new. Find out more.

Swim Sistas European premiere
We were thrilled to support the beautiful, poetic documentary "Swim Sistas" this year, which premiered at the Kendal Mountain Festival.
The film explores how four Black British women, spanning three generations, have connected with and reclaimed their relationship with water.
We were proud to support this film and present 'The Outdoor Swimming Session' at the festival, where director Catherine Joy White and all four cast members were part of a Q&A panel followingthe screening.
Discover more about the film’s motivation and the challenges faced by Black adults who don’t swim in our interview here.

Ross Edgley’s Great Icelandic Swim
Ross Edgley is the UK’s most prominent record-breaking endurance athlete.
This year, he became the first person to circumnavigate Iceland by swimming - another outstanding achievement to add to his impressive list of accomplishments.
Over 114 gruelling days at sea, he completed the 1,000-mile journey around the entire coastline of Iceland, collecting samples along the way.
We were proud to support this epic challenge. Find out the motivation behind this epic mission in our blog.

Laura Crane makes a name in big wave surfing
It’s been a monumental year for big wave surfer and Dryrobe® ambassador Laura Crane. In February, she made history as the first British woman to qualify and receive an invitation to a World Surf League (WSL) big wave event, where she suffered a broken foot during the contest.
Fast forward to December, she recovered, returned to Nazaré, and completed the ride of her life, potentially surfing the biggest wave ever ridden by a woman.

Andrew Cotton’s many adventures
It’s been a jam-packed year of adventure for our ambassador, big wave legend Andrew Cotton.
Amongst chasing gigantic swells, he came 3rd in the Nazaré Big Wave Challenge this February. He also headed to Ireland on a last-minute strike mission, where our film Misean Tobann took fruition; more on this later. And, he also went to Norway on a surf and snow adventure. Read all about it here.

2025 London Surf Film Festival nominees and winners
It’s gotta be said, we've had an impressive year in terms of film releases, if we may say so ourselves!
Dryrobe® videographer Gabriella Zagni, also known as Gabby, was nominated for two categories at the London Surf Film Festival.
Misean Tobann was released this Autumn, following the last-minute strike mission of our ambassador Cotty and fellow big wave surfers Ben Larg and Louis Hudson to Ireland in search of a rare monster wave. Watch it here.
At the start of this year, we also released No Place Like Home, by Gabby, which captures the brutal beauty of surfing Scotland’s winter waves. It features Scottish Surf Champions Phoebe Strachan and Mark Boyd, along with video creator Malcolm Anderson, in their element in Thurso East.
The film won the 2025 London Surf Film Festival Shortie of the Year award. Watch the movie and read the interview here.
We were also thrilled to see the stunning surf film Ceibo, which we supported, win the Best British Film award at the London Surf Film Festival. The film, directed by Maddie Meddings, Lucy Small, and Pach Light, explores the beauty of Ecuador and the women who protect its landscapes and communities.

Warmth Project is going from strength to strength
In 2025, the Dryrobe® Warmth Project has proudly donated £177k to our Warmth Project partners. We’ve also donated over 800 products to ensure our products reach individuals and organisations across the world's shorelines, benefiting the circularity of our hand-sorted seconds stock. This year alone, we’ve donated nearly 50% of the total number of products we donated in the previous three years combined.
That means 1,700 lives were impacted and changed for good through the Warmth Project this year alone.

Red Bull Events
It’s been another incredible year of events with Red Bull. We’ve had the pleasure of supporting the most progressive downhill mountain bike event in the world, Hardline in Wales, last June.
We also attended and supported Red Bull Pool Clash, which premiered in Germany at our wave pool partner’s O2 SURFTOWN MUC.
Red Bull Sea Sprints hit the water for the first time ever in the UK at the North Quay in Falmouth. And we were also stoked to support one of the most fun events of the year, Red Bull Up The Mast, where 176 challengers gathered in Plymouth to take on one greasy pole.
We saw the year out at the Wave of Consequence Surf Camp in Ireland, where big wave surfers from across the world, including our ambassador Izzi Gomez, came together in preparation for the big wave season ahead.
