We’re proud to announce that we’re renewing our relationship with Andrew Cotton as a brand ambassador. The renowned big wave surfer has been a key part of the dryrobe team for some time now and we’re excited to continue working closely with Cotty as he continues to pursue his goal of surfing the biggest waves out there.

Cotty’s story is a pretty epic one. A North Devon local who lives a stone’s throw from dryrobe HQ - he grew up loving to surf the biggest swells the South West had to offer and travelling the world to feed his desire to surf bigger and bigger waves. Since then the plumber turned pro surfer has been nominated for his surfing in the Biggest Wave category of the Global Billabong XXL Awards, as well as towing Garrett McNamara into what the Guinness World Records confirmed as the biggest wave ever surfed.
Cotty was a part of the first team of surfers to attempt to ride the biggest waves ever surfed at Nazare in Portugal, now regarded as one of the world’s prime big wave spots. November 2017 saw him suffer a monster wipeout while surfing a solid Nazare swell and as a result of that broke his back. The wipeout united the surfing world in support of Cotty and since then he’s been well on the road to recovery and already planning his return to the big wave arena!

We’re proud to have Cotty as part of the team and are looking forward to helping him to achieve his goals - his drive to push his limits constantly inspires the surfing community and we couldn’t ask for a better ambassador for the dryrobe brand.

Speaking about the announcement, Andrew said: “I’m really stoked to be working with dryrobe again for another year, it feels like I’ve been using them for as long as I can remember and it’s become a essential part of my surfing kit. As every surfer in Europe knows we spend a lot of time in harsh conditions getting changed in and out of our wetsuits and dryrobe for me makes even the worst changing conditions bearable. Thank you..”
