As the year concludes and everyone is getting ready to start 2025, we can’t help but reflect on the last 12 months!
We’re so proud of the achievements of our ambassadors, partners, Warmth Project organisations, and the dryrobe® community, who have gone out there, embraced challenges, and pursued dreams.
It’s always a difficult task to choose but here are some moments that were cause for celebration in 2024...
Going for gold at the 2024 Paris Games
Since Tokyo 2016, we’ve been long-standing suppliers to Team GB at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This continued at the 2024 Paris Games where we were proud to provide dryrobe® Advance change robes for Team GB Olympic and Paralympic athletes including those competing in rowing, swimming, and triathlon - just to name a few.
The kit was designed to keep athletes' core temperature up around competition, aiding their recovery and helping to give them a competitive edge over their opponents.
We were also stoked to spot Team USA in dryrobe® Advance changing robes by the River Seine during the Triathlon Mixed Relay where the team achieved silver after an intense finish.
Lukas Skinner defends his World Champion title and achieves double Boardmasters win
What a year it’s been for our young ambassador. At only 16 years old, Lukas won both the Junior Boys category AND the Men’s World Surf League Qualifying Series (WSL QS), making him the Boardmasters Men’s Open 2024 champion at Fistral Beach, UK, in August.
His winning momentum continued throughout the year into November when he took home the crown as the World Rip Curl Gromsearch Champion for the second year in a row in Bali. He also achieved silver at the 2024 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in Rio, just missing out on gold.
He’s truly put UK surfing on the world map, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings. Well done, Lukas!

British Rowing partnership goes from strength to strength
2024 was a huge year for our partners British Rowing, who used dryrobe® Advance change robes year round as part of their training and competitions kit.
Team GB Rowing’s hard work and training paid off with an incredibly successful 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This summer, the team brought home six gold medals, three silver medals, and three bronze medals from the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
We were so proud to travel to Paris for the opportunity to support Team GB amongst the crowds in The Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium and watch GB Olympic rowing champions and podium finishers achieve lifetime accomplishments.
Camilla Kemp is crowned the German National Surf Champion
Another surf ambassador who’s made some epic feats this year is the GermanOpen Champion and Olympian Camilla Kemp.
2024 was the first year that the German National Surfing Championship was held on home turf since it began 28 years ago. Europe’s largest surf park, O2 Surftown in Munich hosted the three-day event. Fresh from a summer training for and competing at Teahupo’o for the Paris Games earlier this year, Camilla was crowned as the German Open Champion. She is also Germany’s first-ever female surfer to qualify for the Olympics.
Congratulations Camilla, we’re so proud of you!
Camilla talks about her fascinating journey as a professional surfer, including what it was like to train for one of the most iconic but dangerous surf spots for the Olympics, on the WSL Lineup podcast with Dave Prodan.
The ‘Ice Mermaid’ completes the Oceans Seven challenge
In the world of swimming, one of our ambassadors completed the swimming equivalent of the Seven Summits mountaineering challenge, the Ocean Seven, in June this year.
The challenge consists of, you’ve guessed it, seven of the world’s most difficult open water channel swims and one determined swimmer to complete them all. In this case, it was ambassador and Chilean Ice Mermaid, Bárbara Hernández Huerta - making her the first South American and 28th person in the history of the challenge to achieve all seven swims.
Find out more about Bárbara’s decade-long dream in the making here.
Supporting the 2024 ISA World SUP and Paddleboard Champions (WSUPPC)
In September, the beautiful city of Copenhagen welcomed more than 180 of the world’s best SUP and prone athletes, representing 40 national teams. What was at stake? SUP and Paddleboard World Title victory.
We were incredibly proud to be the WSUPPC official partner, hosted by the International Surf Association (ISA) and Surf & SUP Denmark. We supported and attended the event all week. We also kept Teams USA, GB, Denmark, and Germany warm with customised dryrobe® Advance changing robes and Towel robes at the event.

Izzi and Taz hit the Irish coast
Big wave surfer and dryrobe® Ambassador Izzi Gomez recced one of Europe’s most intimidating surf locations, Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast.
Guided by fellow big wave surfer and dryrobe® Ambassador Taz Knight, dryrobe® videographer Gabriella Zagni captured the anticipation for a decent swell. Things may not have gone to plan but that didn’t mean it was any less entertaining!

Powering the Winter Swimming World Championships (WSWC) in Tallinn
The wetsuit-free biennial swimming event welcomes the world’s most committed swimmers to register and compete in a variety of race distances and strokes in incredibly cold temperatures.
We were so proud to be the headline sponsor for the 2024 WSWC in the wonderful city of Tallin. We provided free hire of dryrobe® Advance changing robes for those swimming in temperatures that at times reached below 1°C.
We were stoked to support (and also participate in) the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest winter swimming relay team, which saw 807 swimmers beat the previous record of 550 participants.
dryrobe® Ambassador Bárbara attended the event, winning the 200m Freestyle, 200m Breaststroke, and dryrobe® 450m Freestyle.

Honouring 200 years of the RNLI
2024 celebrated two centuries of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) saving lives at sea.
Our partnership with the RNLI forms part of the dryrobe® Warmth Project, and we’re proud to contribute to such a vital organisation that shares our love of the sea. Sharing their water safety advice and supporting the incredible work is so important to ensure people can enjoy being in or near water safely. Earlier this year, we launched a special edition dryrobe® Advance change robe with the RNLI in honour of the charity.
We’d like to thank the RNLI for protecting our coasts, rescuing those in danger, and providing invaluable education about water safety. We also thank the generosity of those who have donated to the RNLI in support of their life-saving services.
Celebrating 10 years with Lucy Campbell
At the start of 2024, we celebrated a decade with our inspiring ambassador, 7x National Women’s surfing champion Lucy Campbell. Both North Devon-born and raised, it’s been amazing to see Lucy’s inspiring accomplishments as a pro surfer.
