Since dryrobe® was founded over a decade ago we’ve continually rolled innovations and improvements into our range. Constantly evolving. Always seeking to be better. Our latest development is our most exciting. We’re proud to say that the dryrobe® Advance changing robe is now made with 100% recycled fabrics.
This has not been an easy journey. The challenge was to never compromise on performance, whilst using the most sustainable materials possible. Our products are tried, tested and trusted by athletes competing at the highest levels of sport all over the world; including Team GB Athletes and Olympians. Performance is what we are all about.
ShopThe first dryrobe® Advance made with completely recycled fabrics arrived in the UK in March 2021 and now makes up over 95% of our current stock. We are entering the final stage of our transition to make this the standard across the dryrobe® Advance range. It may take a little time till every product we sell is made with 100% recycled fabrics. Please read the fabric composition details on individual product details.
Fast drying inner fleece
The super warm, synthetic lambswool lining in the dryrobe® Advance is made from 100% recycled polyester (rPET), approved by the Global Recycle Standard and certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
This high-performance fleece is made from recycled post-consumer plastic, a large part of which comes from plastic bottles.
Our unique fast-drying fleece technology draws the water away from the skin and into the pile of the fabric, meaning the dryrobe® Advance can be used multiple times throughout the day without the need for drying between uses.
Weatherproof outer
The durable waterproof and windproof outer on all our dryrobe® Advance range is now made with 100% recycled nylon, approved by Global Recycle Standard.
This breathable, weatherproof shell fabric is made with pre-consumer recycled nylon that would otherwise be destined for landfill - such as old fishing nets, tights and nylon carpets.
Waterproof up to 10,000mm, the seams on the super-durable outer layer are heat-sealed to ensure you’re protected against whatever the weather throws at you.
Eco-friendly finishing
We use PFC-free BIONIC-FINISH ECO Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) finishing on all our dryrobe® Advance products. This plant-based solution doesn't contain any harmful compounds, delivering high-performance weather resistance and reducing the impact on the environment.
This BIONIC-FINISH ECO DWR technology repels water, causing it to bead on the surface of the dryrobe® Advance, meaning it rolls off the surface rather than soaking into the fabric.
